SSHush is a tool for connecting to, monitoring, and managing your own Linux servers. Please read the following before relying on it.

Use at your own risk

SSHush is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. You use it, and act on what it shows you, at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer accepts no liability for any loss, damage, downtime, data loss, or other harm arising from the use of the app, the agent, or the alerting service, including any commands you run through the built-in terminal.

You are in control of your servers

SSHush connects to your servers using credentials you provide and gives you a full interactive shell. It does not restrict what you can do. Any change you make to a server through SSHush, including through the terminal, is your responsibility. Take care with commands that can affect a running system.

The agent

Enabling alerting installs software on your server. This happens only when you choose it, and is disclosed before it happens. The agent is open source and you are encouraged to read it before installing it. Installing it, like any software you choose to run, is your decision and your responsibility.

Metrics are provided for information only

The metrics SSHush displays are read directly from your servers using standard system commands. They are provided for your information and may be affected by the state of the server, the network, or the connection. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for critical decisions.

Alerting is best effort

Alerting depends on your server being able to reach the internet, on our backend being available, on the Apple Push Notification service, and on your device being able to receive notifications. Any of these can fail, and notifications may be delayed or not delivered at all.

SSHush is not a guaranteed paging service and carries no service level agreement. Do not use it as the only safeguard for a system where a missed alert would cause serious harm.

Live metrics require the app to be open

Live metrics update only while the app is open. Alerting is separate and continues regardless, but the two should not be confused: a server card showing as offline describes your device's connection to that server, not the state of your alerting.

Availability

The app depends on a working SSH connection between your device and your servers. Reachability, firewalls, and network conditions are outside the developer's control.
